The article aims to present the current situation in Ukraine through international relations theory that is able to provide the necessary theoretical background to analyse the complex problems that unfold in the contemporary international environment. These problems are analysed through several perspectives including realist, postmodern and socialconstructivist dimensions, as well as from the point of view of classical institutionalism. What is more, on the basis of their deliberations, the authors describe several possible scenarios of the future events, including the strategy of Russia to continue destabilization in Ukraine in order to seize control over its entire territory and the long-term effects of international sanctions on the Russian economy with the possibility of the collapse of the aggressor state. Nonetheless, the Crimean crisis reveals an important fact that, according to the authors, has deep ramifications for the entire international security system – at present, the international community is not able to exert influence on any of the nuclear powers through military means. While other, non-military means of influence can be used, such as broad economic sanctions or political isolation of an aggressor-state, they are not effective immediately thus allowing the aggressor states to violate international law with a feeling of impunity and invincibility.

The author's approach to the understanding of relevant processes in world politics is proposed. The key trends that influence the dynamics of international actors – humanization, democratization, integration are revealed. The contradictions of the dyadic combination of the mentioned trends are emphasized – «humanization vs. ethitativeness», «ethitativeness vs. democracy», «democracy vs. integration», which determine opportunities and form the prospects of political activity. The accompanying techniques, which specify the processes of constructing contemporary international and political development, are considered: deactivation of hybrid patterns through the formation of meanings; specification of goals as a context of hybrid strategies; neglecting of facts and generalization of stories. It is revealed that perspectives of (re)structuring of modern international relations are formed through technologies of recontextualization of sustainable welfare; globalization and integration as well as the dynamics of world progress. The emphasis is on radical interdependence as a manifestation of the hegemonic nature of globalization and its significance in developing more cooperative relations between participants of international interactions.Key words: democracy; integration; international actors; public goods; transfer of loyalty; globalization. ; Запропоновано авторський підхід до розуміння актуальних процесів у світовій політиці. Розкрито ключові тренди, які впливають на динаміку міжнародних акторів – гуманізація, демократизація, інтеграція. Наголошено на суперечностях діадного поєднання вказаних трендів – «гуманізація vs етатизм», «етатизм vs демократія», «демократія vs інтеграція», що визначають можливості й формують перспективи політичної діяльності. Розглянуто супутні техніки, які конкретизують процеси конструювання сучасного міжнародно-політичного розвитку: деактуалізацію гібридності через формування смислів; конкретизацію цілей як контекст гібридних стратегій; дефетишизацію фактів й генералізацію історій. З'ясовано, що перспективи (ре)структуризації сучасних міжнародних відносин формуються через технології реконтекстуалізації сталого добробуту, глобалізацію й інтеграцію, а також з огляду на динаміку світового прогресу. Акцентовано на радикальній взаємозалежності, як вияві гегемонічної природи глобалізації, та її значенні в становленні більш кооперативних відносин між учасниками міжнародних взаємодій.Ключові слова: демократія; інтеграція; міжнародні актори; суспільні блага; трансфер лояльностей; глобалізація.

Розкрито сутність та особливості соціалконструктивістського підходу. За допомогою залучення методів абстрагування, аналізу та синтезу, а також порівняльного методу, досліджено онтологічні та гносеологічні основи соціалконструктивізму, його форми та місце у політичній науці. Виявлено, що соціалконструктивістський підхід перебуває на стадії становлення, характеризується внутрішньою різнорідністю, дуалістичною раціоналістичною і рефлексіоністською природою, та одночасно протиставляється як класичним, так і постмодерністським концепціям. Доведено, що конструктивістські фундаментальні дослідження соціального виміру міждержавної взаємодії, ґрунтовно вплинули на розвиток науки про міжнародні відносини.Ключові слова: теорія міжнародних відносин; соціалконструктивізм; раціоналізм; рефлексіонізм; соціальне конструювання; соціальна ідентичність; міжнародна система; агент.The paper deals with the essence and features of social constructivist approach. Using a comparative method, methods of abstraction, analysis and synthesis, the ontological and epistemological foundations of social constructivism as well as its forms and the role in political science are investigated. It is shownthat the social constructivist approach is developing and is identified as being internally diverse. It is also characterized by a rationalist and reflexionist dualism nature being in opposition to classical and post-modern concepts. It was proved that the basic constructivist social dimension of intergovernmental cooperation research fundamentally influenced the development of the theory of international relations.Key words: theory of international relations; social constructivism; rationalism; reflexionism; social construction; social identity; international system; agent.
